  • TIG welding: TIG stands for “tungsten inert gas” and involves a process where an electrode that is made of tungsten is used. It generates a very good fusion on the first root pass of a pipe weld.

The welding certification test is based on various types of welding processes as described above. And for identification of varying levels of proficiency a number/letter is used. For example, 6g welding certification is the highest level and it means the welder can weld 360 degrees around the pipe which is not moving. This is considered as the gold standard of the profession.

Certifications are mostly done at any workplace or welding school at various welding certificate test in Kerala. It is possible to give them privately but it will cost more. It is also possible to give a welding certification test online. It’s important to be sure that the tester is a certified welding inspector by checking the AWS inspector registry.
